At New Life International, we believe that bringing hope and healing to people around the world requires more than just providing immediate relief—it involves sustainable, community- engaged transformation. As we look to 2025, one of the most exciting opportunities lies in Colombia, where we aim to reach hundreds of communities, providing them with not only safe water but also the living water of the Gospel.
Leo Jimenez, Regional Manager of Latin America with New Life International, is particularly passionate about the potential for impact in Colombia. “We have been building relationships with local communities and churches for years now, and the open doors are numerous,” Leo said. “This is a unique time in Colombia, where both the need and the desire for hope are palpable. The infrastructure we have in place is ready to scale up, and we believe we can make a massive difference by reaching communities with both clean water and the message of Jesus.”
One of the biggest challenges in Colombia, as in many parts of the world, is the lack of access to safe drinking water. For millions of people in rural areas, contaminated water sources lead to illness, increased health expenses, decreased productive time, which keeps vulnerable families in the cycle of poverty. New Life International has started work to break the cycle of poverty in some communities, but the opportunity to expand in Colombia is tremendous.

Mark Estes, Director of New Life Ministries, spoke to the unique opportunity that Colombia presents. “What excites me most about Colombia is the alignment of both physical and spiritual needs. Water is vital to life, and through providing safe water, we’re not just addressing a global health crisis—we’re opening doors with the local church and our mission partners to reach people with the Gospel,” Mark shared. “The beauty of this mission is that it’s not just about the installations, it’s about creating long-lasting, local partnerships where we can equip and empower the Church to continue this work.”
As New Life looks to expand its impact in Colombia, the goal is clear: provide sustainable solutions that transform the health and lives of these communities while also sharing the transformative power of Jesus Christ. With more than 1,000 communities identified as areas of need, the 25 for 25 initiative is not just a goal—it’s a vision for a broader global movement, where safe water and living water flow hand-in-hand into the reach of the most vulnerable.
Mark continues, “We are not just providing a one-time fix. We are developing a long-term relationship with the people in these communities. The local church becomes the hub for transformation, where we can see not only health improvements but also spiritual growth through new churches planted, discipleship and church leader training – all to reach more with safe and living water. Lives transformed now and for eternity. That’s the true impact we want to see.”
Both Leo Jimenez and Mark Estes agree that the work in Colombia is just the beginning. The long-term vision of New Life is not limited to the country but is part of a global effort to bring both physical and spiritual renewal to communities in need. By 2025, New Life aims to not only provide safe water to 25 prisons in El Salvador but also reach hundreds of communities across Latin America, including Colombia. This global effort reflects the organization’s deep commitment to both innovation, partnership and outreach, serving as a bridge between tangible solutions and the life-changing message of the Gospel.
This vision of transformation in Colombia and beyond is fueled by the support of generous donors, prayer partners, and the dedicated teams on the ground. Leo Jimenez’s words sum it up well: “We can make this a reality. Every installation, every partnership, and every person who hears the Gospel through this effort is one more step toward a world transformed by Safe and Living Water.”
As we move into 2025, New Life International is excited about the partnerships and progress ahead. With the support of the global community, we are confident that the opportunity to reach hundreds of communities in Colombia—and beyond—will not only change lives but will bring hope and healing to people who desperately need both.
