Doors Continue to Open

As we’ve entered a new year, our team cannot help but give thanks for all the doors God has opened for New Life International not only in 2021 but throughout the many years of our ministry. One such door opened in 2015 when two major earthquakes hit Nepal along with dozens of aftershocks. God brought about a great amount of good through these horrible circumstances and laid the groundwork for what we now know as Team Nepal.

Since that time, hundreds of water purification systems have been regularly deployed to Nepali schools, orphanages, churches, and communities. Water purification needs are met in addition to other needs such as food, blankets, bedding, and other much needed resources. God continues to open doors that only He can which allows us to serve in big ways.

In 2021, Team Nepal initiated a relief distribution program that provided safe water, food, and blankets to families affected by devastating landslides and flooding in the Sindhupalchok region. The program was made possible by our generous donors and NLI’s mission to meet specific needs through our Agage Fund.

More recently, members of the team traveled 500 miles west from Kathmandu to the far west portions of Nepal near the Indian border (a 19-hour journey one way). In these communities, the team installed water purification systems at six local primary and secondary schools. As a result, over 1,500 children now have access to safe water!

Doors continue to open for our teams to tell people about the love of Jesus throughout the world on four continents. Many of the places we travel to are off the beaten path in places that are not yet reached. The many relationships that are established through the water purification installations and relief distributions not only provide a witness of God’s love for those in need but also allow us to build trust that leads to transformational sharing.

We are grateful for these open doors and we are thrilled that many others continue to fling wide open. Much good work has taken place, but the work continues in places where our help is still needed. Your generosity not only allows us to explore new possible opportunities but also plan and implement them effectively.
